Immeasurably more…

It really is quite astounding just how much this life is a journey. I remember (and have written proof in many journals) so many things I dreamt of doing and wrote about asking God to fulfill, most of them I wanted that week or month but definitely that year, and it makes me laugh to think that some of them have been a 5 year journey, others 10 years, others are yet to be fulfilled (and others I thank God that He knew better than to answer them!) But that doesn’t make me want to stop dreaming or to lose hope and give up. This life that we are living is a gift from God, we were born with adventure in our hearts and I have seen and continue to see that when we live life with God it is the best and most amazing adventure we could ever imagine! It’s not without it’s valleys, bumps in the road or setbacks that sometimes feel like way too much of a knockout; but it is fun, it is exciting, it is ever unfolding, it is a realm that we know not of, and when He is the centre of your life it is completely fulfilling!


Ephesians 3:20-21 says ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.’

That is what I want my life to look like. A life of immeasurably more than all I could ask or imagine, a life that is lived through His power working within me, all for His glory and to make His name famous throughout all generations, for ever and ever!

A bit less than 3 and a half years ago, we had the opportunity to move to Brisbane to take on the role of Youth and Young Adult Pastors, we hadn’t been looking to move but the opportunity arose and I felt that if we didn’t go we would miss out on what God had for us. I knew He would still bless us if we stayed, but I felt that the adventure lay in the going. It was an extremely hard move, I was incredibly homesick, we faced quite a few challenges, but through it all God was so faithful and He overwhelmed us with His presence and favour continually! During this season we have seen amazing things take place; in our own lives, in the lives of those around us, in the youth we’ve had the honour of leading… God has truly done immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine! I have felt God seal His call on my life like never before and give us direction for our future.

This is just a blog so there’s no room for the ‘full story’ but the last 9 months we have felt incredibly stirred by God like never before, we have had confirmation after confirmation and have made the decision to move to Sydney…the continuation and next phase of our God-adventure! Twelve or so years ago, a Preacher came to do our Youth camp, he prophesied over me and said I would travel the world and preach the Gospel, that word has been confirmed many times since and God has stirred my heart for this like never before, but the amazing thing is that that Preacher was Andrew Kubala and we will be working with him and his wife Janine in Sydney in their healing and evangelism ministry.

I love the way that God weaves it all together, throughout the years, the way He takes our dreams, thoughts and desires and puts His supernatural on them to become the ‘immeasurable’ and the ‘more’ than all we could ask or imagine. We don’t know exactly what the future looks like, but we know that we’ll be serving Jesus and that our lives intertwined with Him can be nothing less than an adventure, all for His Name’s sake!

I encourage you today, to take the ‘all you can ask or imagine’ in your life and trust Him with it once again, be willing to pay the price involved and watch as He unfolds the most magnificent adventure and journey as you live for His glory!
